Here's a video I sent my friend Casey. I was trying to get some information on what could possibly be wrong with my beautiful little Telecaster.

I woke up this morning and when I went to grab her I did a scale and realized that the first half of the fretboard was just completely buzz. The day before it sounded great!!
Does anyone have any idea what's going on with my Tele?

P.S. If any moderators sees this I'm sorry for the double posted thread. I was told to post it here instead.

If it could be deleted that'd be awesome! Here's a link
Did it buzz before all the strings (bar one) were taken off?

the truss rod compensates for the strings' tension to straighten the neck. if you take off all the strings bar one it'll be pulling the neck way too straight, which'll cause buzz.

if it buzzed when all the strings were on it, it's more than likely the same problem, you just need to loosen the truss rod slightly. there's a sticky here with information about setups:

EDIT: just to clarify- don't go near the truss rod until you're sure what you're doing. You can do damage to the guitar if you're not careful.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
