I'm putting Seymour Duncans in my Fender Stagemaster. I play a lot of progressive music hence the diverse pickup choices.

Definitely getting the Black Winter for the bridge, but I'm torn between the mid single coil and neck single coil pickups. I'm considering putting the Custom Stack Plus as the mid and the Lil59 as the neck.

I'm a little torn with what to do. Am I doing this right or should I switch them as the CSP in the neck and the 59 in the mid? Or use one of either for both pickups?

Well you can always try the pickups in the other position if you want.

I think the reason I ask is the Custom Stack Plus is similar to a humbucker and I'm wondering if having a humbucker bridge, single coil/humbucker type mid and single coil neck would be detrimental to the overall sound.

It comes down to what you like. try it and you can always swap them around and experiment.
