I've always thought that these were the coolest looking guitars around, but it seems like Gibson has stopped making them? The Johnny A Signature is still available but its $7000 which isn't realistic, the standard was more like 2-3000.

Anyone know when they stopped making these guitars?

Hmm...based on the Johnny A's looks, you might dig the Reverend Manta Rays and/or the Tricky Gomez models. They're affordable, too: $850-1400 for even the new ones.

Sturgeon's 2nd Law, a.k.a. Sturgeon's Revelation: “Ninety percent of everything is crap.”

Why, yes, I am a lawyer- thanks for asking!

Log off and play yer guitar!

Strap on, tune up, rock out!

Looks like a cool guitar. I guess Gibson was not selling enough volume to justify making them. The Manta Rays there do look sweet.

I guess they figured that, based on sales, they'd produced enough for this generation.
And the next two.
