I'll try to keep it short. I have a Voodoo Lab GCX, GCP, and control switcher for my peavey 6505+. Everything works great except the control switcher.

I have a custom 5 pin to 7 pin cable that voodoo labs made for me to connect the control switcher to the input for my footswitch on my amp to control footswitch functions with my GCP like channel switching/crunch.

My problem is there doesn't seem to be a way for me to turn on my effects loop with the control switcher. It has 4 buttons while my footswitch has 3

Footswitch:
1 - FX loop
2 - Crunch
3 - Channel swap

Control Switcher
1 - Clean channel
2 - Crunch
3 - Lead channel
4 - Nothing?

Help! I can't run anything through my effects loop because of this!

Did you email Voodoo Lab about it already?

You might have to resolder one or more of the pins to gain that functinoality.

Which is an incredibly massive PITA on a 7 pin DIN jack.

But if Voodoo Lab sold it, it should be wired right to begin with...

Voodoo Lab is as far as I know an extremely reliable and high quality manufacturer. Are you sure that you're doing everything right? I know that this is an annoying question, but better be sure about it before you open up the pedal or email them.

The problem is DEFINITELY the control switcher. I've rewired the whole thing to exclude the control switcher and just make sure the effects loop is on from my footswitch and wire the GCX exactly the same and the effects loop works perfect. For some reason the control switcher is turning my effects loop off and has no way of turning it back on to my knowledge. Is there anyway that's possible?

If they made you a custom cable they'd probably want to know if it isn't working to your satisfaction. Just call them.
