Been looking at the 1984 EX online. So, question is do all epi explorers neck dive? Been doing some reading online and it makes it seem like they do.

Some do and some claim they don't. Gibson Explorers don't tend to neck dive though.

It probably has a lot to do with the location of the upper strap button. Having the button near the neck joint is usually the most balanced position for them.

Thanks. I've also heard the Gibsons don't dive.

Does anyone own an epi explorer and can you comment on neck dive?

I had a Epi 58 Reissue Korina Explorer. Didn't seem to neck dive to me. Then again I use wide, suede backed straps.
