What effects is he using to get those cool reggae rythm and lead tones in rude by magic?

do you have a youtube link to the song? i'm not familiar with it
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

It's a newer pop song... I wasn't a fan until I heard that solo... Great song! I'm thinking maybe a pitch shifter, or octave pedal

Here's the video. Sounds like classic white dude reggae to me:

Gear recipe is usually a singlecoil guitar + great clean amp + minimal effects (to flavor, not overpower).

Effects like a tremolo, reverb, rotary or chorus- used on minimal settings, and probably only one on the list- plus a clean overdrive is all you're going to want.

The rest is mainly picking & muting techniques.

Why, yes, I am a lawyer- thanks for asking!

Log off and play yer guitar!

Strap on, tune up, rock out!

Oh that, i think i've come across that on the music TV satellite channels. I just didn't know what it was called.

yeah pretty much what danny said. it sounds like a single coil fender-style guitar with a bit of overdrive, i think i heard some light (analogue probably) chorus in there as well at one point.

EDIT: I dunno what's going on in that solo Some kind of synthy type pedal?
