Hi,

I'm looking for a good, practical, simple and reluable Bass Amp. Mostly for practice but also for playing gigs in small to medium-sized venues. My budget is £500-£700 tops. Solid State is probably the only option. I am considering both combos and heads and cabs seperately.
One I was considering is the Ampeg SVT Micro Head bundle. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well as tips as I'm very new to Bass as I'm mostly a guitarist.
My main styles would be rock, hard rock metal and s bit of blues and mellower stuff .

Thanks,

You can afford a smaller Ampeg Portaflex setup, especially if you go used. Also consider where you’ll be playing—if you only play venues with PA systems you could probably get by with a BA-112 or 115 plugged directly into the PA.
