i am trying to get working on my board as i will be using it more often.

you all probably saw the compressor thread. when i do it, it will be a Diamond Compressor.

_

now i need a good tremolo pedal. i haven't ever tried one but i like the four knob voodoo labs trem, it gives you the wave form, and pretty good option and its cheap. i am completely open minded and i want the best for my money.

i am open to anything $200ish (ideally less) but i want something that i don't want to sell in three months.

other info follows.

as far as my pedals, its OD's, (multiple combinations)

pitchblack>fulltone clyde>OD's >Voodoo Lab Proctavia>EX Stereo Electric mistress> Voodoo Labs micro-vibe>Malekko Ekko 616 -------- (somewhere in there a Digitech Jamman Dela on a rare occasion)

i will have the diamond compressor (when i get the cash) a Musket fuzz, this tremolo and a chorus (yet to be determined, also i will have some form of digital delay

a lot is subject to change.

I owned the Voodoo Labs tremolo for a while. I sold it because it was noisy and simply not that great sounding. The Boss Tremolo smokes it ( I never thought I'd say those words!).

If you're going to get a tremolo and a chorus, you may want to look at getting the Eventide Modulation pedal, it'll have both and a tap tempo for the tremolo.

didn't think about eventide. that seems like a better option.

thanks for the rec danny.

am really thinking about the eventide mod. it covers everything i need and a little more. tremolo and chorus was wanted, and is cheaper. plus i think my local GC has one to demo. i will continue the search.

continued, and will be a strymon mobius. then a musket fuzz diamond comp. it does everything there are pretty much. i wanted to go cheaper but i can get anything out of it in a way.

There is a certain wisdom in spending a bit more if you get a bit more. ESPECIALLY if the more you are getting is something you hadn't considered, and that might let you experiment a bit more.

For years, I had a Russian Big Muff Pi as my sole fuzz and a Krank Distortus Maximus as my only OD. But I wasn't satisfied in what I heard. In my time on this and other boards, I began to realize what it was: regardless of the quality of those particular pedals, they didn't have some of the tones I sought within them. There were OTHER pedals that did the same thing, but differently.

I mean, I knew that from early on...but the depth and breadth of that reality escaped me until I started listening to other posters about what gear they used...and what they got out of it.

And when I started buying other (arguably better) pedals and manipulating their controls, I found what I was missing...and stuff I hadn't even realized was possible. That changed me.

i wanted a chorus as welll as a phaser as well as the tremolo. levels the price a little bit. prsets aren't a bad thing either.

its got tap tempo which is VERY nice and everything i have played with strmon's name on it is awesome. a guy at church has a blue sky and el cap and they were really nice.

unfortunately this will probably my christmas present to myself. i will get some money and get the diamond comp.

strymon is the answer for me on this one.

My $30 Joyo Tremolo pedal does me just fine for the few songs I use it for.

mine seemed very subtle-sounding (though it did sound good), though I think it has an internal trimpot maybe to adjust it. I was scared to open mine in case I broke it.
