Is it a bad idea? I can get a set of Lollar Blackface pups for a very reasonable price, but it has flat poles and my strat has a vintage radius neck. I just want to know if my sound will get scooped or something else (which I don't want). What do you think? Should I give it a try? Thanks in advance!

Go for it. Flat poles don't make that much difference, and certainly not enough to cause a problem.

+1 you are fine. i did the same thing in a tele without issue.

I wouldn't buy fibre-endplate* flatpole pickups regardless of board radius, because I'm really sensitive to differences in string-to-string balance, and would worry about the plain 3rd string sounding too hot compared to the wound 4th. But I'm in a minority on this.

* No problem with plastic bobbins because I can push the alnico slugs about to suit.
