So for a long time now i've strictly used POD Farm through a UX1 to record most of my things. I've been hearing a ton of good things about the LePou Impulses, so I downloaded a few last night. But getting it to work sounds absolute horrible.
I heard someone said to get a clean tone and then add the VST in the FX within Reaper. And other's say to bypass the cabinet. And to be honest, I have no idea what that means.
So if someone could help me out, it'd be appreciated.

Read the amp sims sticky.

Then...
A VST is a software plugin format, in this case a signal processor.
POD farm is a vst plugin.

To bypass pod farm you simply don't open it, nor add it to your signal chain in reaper.

Bypassing the cab means bypassing the cabinet simulation, so not using any.
