I guess this could go in the drum forum but since it's about tabbing something out I'll stick it here and see what happens.

I'm currently tabbing Boku wa Miss Take by Buck-Tick, and much of the song is full of reverb and delay which makes some bits unclear. Toll Yagami does drum fills throughout (every 8 bars or so), and the rest of the instrumentation is too loud for me to hear what he's doing with the bass drum; I'm hoping to make an educated guess but, not being a drummer, I'm not particularly educated.

When doing fills on the toms, is it more common to continue doing whatever you were doing before on the bass drum or to stop?

Hopefully this should be self-explanatory enough to show what I mean:

Is
HH |x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x---| x---x---x-----------------------|
T1 |--------------------------------| ----------------x-x---x---------|
T2 |--------------------------------|x3 ------------------------x-x-x---|
Sn |--------x---------------x-------| --------x-----------------------|
Bd |x---x-----------x---x-----------| x---x-----------x---x-----------|
Or
HH |x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x---| x---x---x-----------------------|
T1 |--------------------------------| ----------------x-x---x---------|
T2 |--------------------------------|x3 ------------------------x-x-x---|
Sn |--------x---------------x-------| --------x-----------------------|
Bd |x---x-----------x---x-----------| x---x---------------------------|
More likely? Or something else?
