Hi everyone!

Proudly I present to you the first teaser track from the upcoming LEAH album: 'Kings & Queens'.
This track 'Enter the Highlands' is one of the most proggy and 'out there' tracks on the album.
I produced the album and played all the guitars.
Check out the song here!: http://leahmchenry.com/track/enter-the-highlands

Rhythm guitars were tracked with my Aristides 070 with EMG 81 and 66. Lead guitars done with my Aristides 020 (SD Jazz&JB), Aristides 010 (4Seasons custom Timo Somers set) and the 070.
Amp is a Koch Powertone III with a TS9 in front. Some leads and spacy guitars are done with Guitar Rig 5 and the Kemper Profiler.
Guitarist for: Delain, Arrow Haze, Vengeance, Tri-Head and others.

0:39 \m/ was expecting harmonies earlier.

solo shredded.

vox could be higher in the mix? i think it would be cooler with more harmonies - that's how i hear it in my head - like not distinct harmonies but more like subtle overtones that would add a little more depth to the vocal lines. i guess it's difficult to make the oohs and aahs MORE haunting but that would probably be the only thing i could suggest to make the song better.

otherwise the mix was good, as far as i could tell...

Thanks man!

Yeah the problem with a singer like Leah is that she wants her vocals drowning in reverbs (she is a big Enya fan). Though that gives limitations to the level where you can put her vocals.
Thanks for the crit! I'll return yours in a little while!

Pr0teZT,
Was this an internet project? Don't you guys live on opposite ends of planet Earth? She looks gorgeous, but I think her vocals work a lot better when the aggressive metal guitars are not playing; I don't think it's just the reverb, her (usually pretty) vocals are not aggressive. You're guitar playing is impressive per usual. In October, I got played on the radio in Los Angeles, so I was excited about that. Perhaps you could review my music at this link:
