Hi. Tomorrow, I'm going to be performing one of my songs in Church, and when I first wake up, my singing voice sounds like a dead cat and it could take a couple hours for it to wake up fully. Is there any way to speed that up? Thanks a bunch.
Warm up using your entire range, do arpeggios, scales, sing in the shower, etc. I like to hold single notes for as long as possible, starting lower and working higher and higher in my range. You might also want to do an extended slide up and down your range. Also work on breath support, that is a primarily cause of a shoddy morning voice.
I think I prefer ending on lighter exercises last. so laryngeal first and then pharyngeal last.
