I'm looking into buying a pitch shifter pedal. I need something that can shift the potch of the guitar single up or down, preferably in semitones. Since I've never really owned or used a pedal like this, I'd like to hear other people's experiences with pitch-shifters and some recommendations on what to ty out.

Thanks in advance!

another one, from ehx. it offers a few more options it doesn't seem to have as exhaustive of semitone pitch options, it only has:

"An 11-position Shift switch selects the maximum transposition interval ranging from D (Detune), a shift of 17 cents, through Minor 2nd, Major 2nd, Major 3rd, Perfect 4th, Perfect 5th, Major 6th, Minor 7th, 1 Octave, 2 Octaves and 3 Octaves."

but it does offer pitch bending, harmonizing modes and expression pedal options and sounds pretty good imo. it's also cheaper than the digitech. i have been considering getting one.

punk isn't dead, it's always smelled that way.

Wow, that ehx pedal sounds amazing. I'll probably go test that one out if I see one in a music store.
