Hey guys, I'm sure this will be an easy fix but I wondered if anyone has experience with this, I just took a killswitch out of my strat that I added 6 years ago and soldered the two cables together around it, now my guitar is totally non-responsive run through an amp. What could I have done wrong? I know nothing about electrical stuff, sorry
Most killswitches ground out the signal, so by soldering those wires together you probably just muted the guitar permanently. If that's the case, you just need to remove the wire. You can test by clipping the solder joint you just made.
