So last month I had a NGD in the PRS Custom 22 Special, which was my first time getting something with single coil.

Love the sound, want more, then saw this and want it even more.

So I present, PRS 305 in Antique White.

25.5" Scale
Alder Body
Satin Maple Neck
Phase 3 locking tuners
3 single coils
PRS Tremolo

edi - Didn't know I had to write a review my impression is that this is like a Strat on Steroids. I openly admit I have not tried many Strats so can't comment on playability of them all but I think this plays better than all the ones I have tried, some MIA, some MIM, standard, Special, and one Deluxe. I have the pick ups low but not all the way down, on volume 7- 8 I can get a vintage Strat twang sound at switch position 2 and 4. Put the volume on 10, now we are at the Strat on steroids territory, it's a Strat but more.

The satin neck is very very comfortable, this is my first satin neck guitar and I must say I am in love. It is very nice, the fretwork as usual from PRS is spot on, very easy to play guitar. The weight is just right for me, on the low 7lb (I think either 7.3 or 7.5lbs).

Together

Happy Holidays!

awesome guitars. a huge gripe i would have is that neck heel. why. just...why? same with the bolt on models. even worse. might as well be a strat and just slap some things together with bolts like sa 12 year old.

i mean, not to diss strats, classic design, but the design of that guitar isnt exactly rocket science. get yourself a hex screwdriver and the whole thing comes apart in 10 min. part of the beauty of it.

i suppose in short, some of thier modles have a better neck joint design than others IMO. i really like my carvin which has a very tiny, almost non existent neck heel. however...i wish my carvin had some otehr PRS-like quality elsewhere.

Maple neck PRS guitars are my kryptonite. Whenever I see one, I have to stop what I'm doing to just drool at it for a few minutes. Very jealous, my friend! Killer guitar!

HNGD, obviously a beautiful guitar that will last a lifetime or three.

Stunning and sorry, but that neck heel looks amazing.

I love the contrast between the body and neck.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

You've got good taste, Ray! Where'd you get that pedalboard from. I really dig the wood grain.

It's a custom build from Salvage Customs, a guy call Daniel makes them by hand one at a time. The waiting time is long though, 6 months+.

Mine is around a Pedaltrain 3 size, made of solid walnut on all sides. It includes wiring underneath with a power socket, on/off switch, guitar in, guitar out, a FX bypass box and it also has a lid.

It's beautifully made, the only downside is it is very heavy when fully loaded like this.

^ I think he's said before that he's a photographer (maybe on the fretboard forum)

I thought it might be a Salvage board! I follow them on facebook, I see their gear porn all the time.

EDIT: There needs to be a subforum or thread for gear photography. When I'm stuck inside during these Wisconsin winters, that's pretty much all I do!

Haha, good idea but I think there's a thread at the top?

My board is the first one with leather corners, he had to make a die specially for them, it took a while to come but it's handmade to spec, and lasts a lifetime.
