thats not negative at all dude! i think that is good advice. I utilize a lot of effects on almost all of my songs, and that ambience is definitely not for everyone. I'm very inspired by bands like sigur ros, who create really rich atmospheres with their music. So I've tried experimenting a lot with effects, but it doesn't always come out especially clear, so I'm working on creating slightly cleaner mixes. I'm glad you appreciated certain aspects of the piece, I'll definitely be checking out your music as well! I'll send you some thoughts on that.

Patrick,
I think a lot of the song has timing issues and the playing could be tighter. Some of the delay echoes seem out of sync with the tempo. If possible, try to MIDI sync all of the delays to the beat of the music. If you don't have that capability, I recommend doing some math to calculate the delay times (if delay time is displayed). I like some of the guitar riffs though. Perhaps you could review my music at this link:

I just sent all of you guys some feedback on your music! In response to aaron aardvark, I am honestly not sure how to MIDI sync the delays, but that sounds like a great idea. I recorded this on Garageband. I am open to advice on how to do this, I am not quite sure how to go about it.

Everything just sounds so off time and confusing. It makes it really difficult to listen to the song. Only after the 00:30 mark did it start to shape but then you lost me again. The delay is also way off and you should use subtle effects. There were some nice parts nearer to the end of the song. Maybe re-recording it will be the only fix to make this a real nice song. Anyway, please review my music https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1662609
