Do you use crossfade?

I tend to have it turned on in iTunes even though you miss the end of songs having the music flow into each other is quite nice.
#3
I don't use iTunes, but I wouldn't use that even if I did. I only listen to whole albums at a time anyway, so it wouldn't have much of a purpose.
#11
I do in spotify. have it set to 5 seconds which tend to be the perfect spot for almost any song transition that I have in my playlist, give or take a few here and there.

I use crossfade when producing but for my life I wouldn't use it for listening to stuff.

Clue: amplifiers amplify so don't turn it on if you need quiet.

On the come up we were listening to Grateful Dead and the music started passing through my bowel and out my arsehole as this violet stream of light. I shat music. It was beautiful.

settings says: 5000ms crossfade only on manual song change

I usually listen to albums in full rather than making playlists so only really need it when I skip track in the middle of the song and don't want to be jarred by the dynamics jump.

If I listened to more random playlists, I'd probably have it on as different albums have different volumes and crossfade just helps with the difference so I'm not panic reaching for the volume button all the time.
O.K.

'Soundcheck' is the option for this, in iTunes.

I have Soundcheck turned on, to compensate for different mastering extremes of albums, but don't like Crossfade.
Hey, look. Sigs are back.

****ing annoying

I listen to quite some mixes, and when I hear this I switch it off. It's as if you eat the finest ice cream, and you suddenly smell pussy. Even for a little bit, it' ****s me up.

Am I the only person who stick sticks a lot of crap on shuffle and listens to it with crossfade then

Yes.
I stick my whole collection on shuffle, but only 47.34% of it is objectively crap.

The rest is subjectively crap if you're not me, probably

EDIT: Congrats on the stiffy poll.

and loads of the albums I listen to are one-take albums, so they already blend really well.

crossfade sucks and I don't use it even if I'm not listening to an album

Crossfade is really only useful for DJing events.

When you listen to an album you usually have to sit through the filler songs which is boring.

But no I don't use it. I DJ so I know how to actually mix in between songs in the right tempo, the right key, and with the right phasing if I want non-stop flowing music. Once you get used to that auto fading sounds absolutely horrid.

If I'm not listening to electronic music I wouldn't want my songs fading into each other anyway.

I don't use crossfade, because it's annoying and I prefer things to have more clear cut beginnings and endings.
I have nothing important to say
