Through a happy accident on the guitar, found a really nice voicing for maj triad with 2nd and 4th added. E.g. in D

With that voicing, and no one else playing, then the root is as I pointed out ... but start forming some lower 5ths by adding a bass against it, and absolutely.

What do you think of its sound?
