Hello every one, just a quick question about the picking. I'm having trouble with this part of a solo because i'm not sure how I must pick this notes? I've tried alternate picking wich is not bad but is there a better way to do it?

Same speed for every note.

G----------8-----------9-----------11----
D-------9-------9-10------10-12-------

Technique is different for everyone, and what feels comfortable depends on the individual. I would personally use a sweep picking motion for that part, especially if it's a fast lick. To me, alternate picking that would be a complete pain and just seems like a huge waste of motion. I might alternate pick the notes on the same strings, starting with an upstroke and following with an another sweeping motion for the arpeggio.

I'd try some economy picking here:

Down-Down-Down-Up-Down-Down-Down-Up-Down-Down-Down

That way you're using the smallest, most efficient motion you can.
