Some of us haven't been in a band in a while, and we're kind of psyched about this. We're called Boomside (named for a drug-infested low-income housing complex where we're from.) It's four best friends just turnin' up and having fun. I'm generally not into rap metal, mostly because either the rapper and/or band are whack, but I think we do it right.

It's certainly not for everybody. However, there's more to come - not all heavy and with a wider variety of flavors than this song indicates. I feel like our main audience would most likely be 14-24 year olds who like hoodrat shit.

With that being said, here it is, our first music video!

Vocals - His Highness Lord Grand Boulevard
Guitar - Scumbag Jim
Bass - Warsaw Budd
Drums - Thörr Stack

This is actually one of the better things that I have seen/heard in this subforum. Not bad at all. Plus I do have a soft spot for rap/hip-hop that uses all "real instruments" played live as opposed to a DJ and backing tracks, regardless of instrumentation.
There's no such thing; there never was. Where I am going you cannot follow me now.

I'm the General Manager at our school's radio station. If you guys are ever up near Danbury, I'd love to get you guys in the studio. We're about an hour and 15 north of the city and maybe 45 north of Bridgeport, Stamford, and New Haven for reference.

That would be great. I have a very close friend who hustled his way all the way up to the affluent Cromwell, whom I've been meaning to visit for a while. When I make the trip, I'll bring the homies and we can all hang.

What school?

Awesome! I actually spoke to the guys about it, and we're going to make an effort to get out there and make this happen. Our guitarist works for Maury (seriously), so he's in CT 5 days a week.

I know actually know at least a dozen people from my major at school that work down at that NBC studio in Stamford.

Let me know how we can go about putting this all together. Maybe we all just spend the weekend in the dormroom of someone who loves to party and lacks foresight. That'd be cool. Or we could just drive out there and drive back like our guitarist does most days.

The guys in the band (I'm the bassist) were all super-psyched when I told them about this.

Boomside Freak Posse & Hoodrat Nation! We'll be picking up some merch for all y'all to be buyin' in a few days.

We ordered the following:
-100 black shirts with the mask/mag/bag design.
-500 3inx3in vinyl stickers with just the mask
-500 3inx3in vinyl stickers of Latarian.

Our homies on the Isle get first dibs on them via our show at Revolution on 12/28, but an online store is soon to follow! #Hustle #Grind #Succeed

Check out 'SPIRYTUS' if you like rap-metal. A very talented UK based band. Toured with the likes of Ill Niño, Shadowsfall, HedPE and Breed77.

This is really cool btw

Thanks for checking us out! Be Afraid is probably our most straight-forward jam. We have a lot of other flavors in what we do, but Be Afraid is the most easy to digest and probably most representative of our attitude and vibe, although it's more on the side of toughguy shit while some of our other stuff falls more on the side of goodtime party hoodrat shit.
