Well, this is different, not what I expected. It progresses like a kind of psychological narrative on the concept of danger, moving through various moods. More like a montage, a collage, than a conventional piece of music, this works due to a steady continuity of thought and concept that threads together the diversely disparate parts.
The vocalist shows a facile faculty with his clever variations of his voice.
This music leaves me questioning what exactly music is, what exactly makes a song, what is valid musical expression. This is definitely not a conventional song, but it works for me, leaving me in a peculiarly particular pensive mood, and a feeling of strange satisfaction that I've been entertained, educated, and even enlightened.
Organically original, articulately arty, a courageous composition of passion and penetration.
