As the title says, would it be safe for me to plug in my bass guitar (I'm just a newbie to the bass) into my Zoom G3x as an interface to record my bass playing into a computer. Or do I really have to buy another bass interface/effect pedal such as the Zoom B3? I don't want to spend another $200.00. So for simplicity: Bass guitar --> Zoom G3X ----> Macbook. Thoughts?

No problem. Might want to disable any amp simulations you have running, you could try just clean bass and compression for starters, but it shouldn't be an issue, it just isn't particularly geared for bass but all the effects should work.

It's all digital, there's really no way you could ruin anything unless you plug a virus or glass of water into it

Have fun!
