Admittedly it was funnier in context.

I always feel old.

Same. I watched that youtube vid with the kids trying to play the NES and not getting it.

I pretty much died inside after that.

I don't get 'this shit baffles kids' articles, I mean I know about shit from before I was born, a lot of shit.

The best selling game system (3ds) still uses cartridges, I imagine they pick kids who don't touch more than a tablet.

But to answer, yeah, I feel a bit older.

I'm glad that most of these technologies listed are obsolete.

Except for the consoles of course.

I'm cool with newer and better shit replacing the old. It's just the fact that my childhood is obsolete.

Plenty of kids know about data storage and cartridge based games, they just don't pick those kids to be in those videos.

It's clickbate. Don't click it. Starve them.

Yeah, teachers even smiled when they wheeled in a projector.

But document cams are much better. Sorry.

I don't feel old looking at any of those things. I barely used any of them even when they were new.

no.
frankly if kids who are using smart phones & tablets 24/7 are "baffled" by stuff like typewriters & rotary phones, they are pretty fucking dumb.

Umm, is there some muricahn difference between primary and elementary school that I don't get because I'm not murrrrricahn! I mean, both mean first, and in Canada we use them as synomes.

But I mean you mericahns don't seperate university from college, so I guess anything is possible.

Well, I turn 19 tomorrow (16th), and it makes me feel old knowing I only have one year left of being a teenager.

I work it out like half lifing. I expect to die somewhere around 60 so that means I have about two more rounds around the block.

Yeah, I feel old. I grew up around most of those technologies. They were crap. Renting a VHS and then having to sit and rewind that shit before you bring it back was annoying. Please be kind and rewind my ass.

Plus having to blow in game cartridges, because it loads with a black screen, or it looks like the glitch gremlin took a shit on your game, but then... there's not even any dust in the cartridge that you can see, so... what the hell is going on? Annoying.

Still, I love my old school games. And I suppose there was a certain charm or joy in the old technologies, although maybe that's the nostalgia talking. Cell phones not being all over the ****ing place was great though, that's for sure.

I graduated in 2006, and they were still regularly used at my school at that time.

I'll be 27 in less than a month. Not that old in the scheme of things, but I still feel like I'm old sometimes.

And for some inexplicable reason, no matter how well set up you had it the previous time, the next time you got it out, it would never work.....

So the geeky kid in class had to fiddle with it (i.e. me ) to get it working......while everyone else got to watch the 'ant race' happening......

Good times......

I'd just like to thank Axelfox for giving me an idea for my next serial work.

OT, I get actual back pain and clicks and groan when I get out of a comfy seat. I'm pretty sure I'm 20 years older in body than mind.
