Listening to Hank III inspired me to write sort of a classic country sounding tune about my most recent brush with death (rolled a pickup truck on Sunday...)

"Before I Learn"

It seems like this old road might never end
Strummin guitars and crashing cars again
It seems like this old world still might turn
And I'll be dead and gone before I learn

A man ain't worth much more than what he's done wrong
Get up, dust yourself off, carry on
They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger in the end
But I ain't heard a damn word that they've said

It seems like this old road might never end
Breaking bones and stealing hearts again
It seems like this old world still might turn
And I'll be dead and gone before I learn

I could smoke the whole thing to my tired brain
Drink myself into some vodka haze
Born to lose and destined to be alone
Stagger down these empty streets toward home

It seems like this old road might never end
Workin' hard at killin' time again
It seems like this old world still might turn
And I'll be dead and gone before I learn

It's kinda short, but it's fun to play Thoughts, suggestions?

I love the use of "before I learn" here. Everything works very well.
