$450 seems aweful cheap to me but it looks legit what do you think?

Could very well be real. Highway Ones at the time were the cheapest USA made Strat. A music shop might have offered this person only a couple hundred bucks because it is a tad beat up so they figured they would try to sell it.

Nitro finish?

Road beat look?

Aged plastic?

Dafuq you waiting for?

I saw a craigslist ad for a Highway One for $400 not too long ago. It was exactly the same as mine, only I paid $1300 Australian Dollars for it

Usually the ones (that I've seen at least) made in the USA have the Corona California bolt cover (the metal piece the bolts that connect body + neck together go through). Although it also looks like it's got a big deal of wear on the finish, which might be the reason for the lowered price, if it's real.

If I was in that area, I'd be all over that like a starved fat kid on a cheesecake.

And I don't even like strats.

Looks legit. Go play it and see if you like her.

The Fender Highway One Strat I had came with a bigger headstock and had a different decal: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/fender-highway-one-stratocaster-electric-guitar

That one for sale could be a Partscaster.

The original HW1 was more vintage style and the headstock change came in 2006 along with other changes to modernize it. Pretty rare to find a partscaster with correct serial # for the series and year.

More discussion on this:

Ahh ... thanks.

Correct serial #s are easy enough since lots of Fenders are parted out and sold on eBay.

I'd still pay $400 for that strat, partscaster or no.
