I’ve stopped playing my otherwise excellent baritone guitar because I hate the pickups. It came stock with a 59 in the neck and a JB in the bridge. The 59 just comes across as a little too dark and dull and I can’t stand the JB’s pronounced mids and shrill highs. I’ll be using this for doom and stoner rock mostly played with a Big Muff. I like a tone that has a hot classic rock tone akin to Billy Gibbons. I love the tones on the new Wo Fat album, so I’m thinking about the same Lace Drop and Gain/Nitro Hemi set that Kent Stump has been using. But I think two Pearly Gates or two Whole Lotta Humbuckers might work. Anybody else have a suggestion?

Beyond those, I'd check out RailHammers.
