Hello. I have to leave town for a month. I won't be able to take my amp modeler, which I use to tune. I have electric guitars. Could someone please recommend an inexpensive yet solid tuner for vacation? Thanks.

Snark Mini I have had mine for 8-9 months and it works very well and was $11.50 with free shipping. It also can stay on my guitars while they are in their cases it is so small, but it is very easy to read and accurate.

The Snark I listed I like better and it is cheaper. But that one should work fine

What about this type of Snark (or any similar tuner). Although this one is not a stage tuner, it seems small enough for the road (though obviously I am looking for something that I don't need a cable for). Thanks again.

Also, what kind of batteries does that little Snark take?

You won't need to worry, it comes with a battery and it lasts a long time I have no issues after 9 months. My brother has had one for over 2 years and the battery is still good

My $10 Snark tunes just as quickly and accurately as any other tuner I've ever used. People say they're not durable, but I've had mine for a long time and it's never broken. All the broken ones I've seen (and I see a lot of them, working in a store, selling them) were very obviously smashed into a wall or stepped on or something. If you treat your stuff with care, you won't break it.

And the batteries they use are a 3V 2032 watch-battery style. They come with one, and it'll last months, if not years, depending on how much you use it. And when it does finally die, you can get those batteries for like a dollar.

It looks like I'll be going w/ the Snark. I'll post back when I make a final decision. Thanks.
