Really? She hung out with bowling guys, they were nice, she went dating and thought it was really hard being a male in the dating scene, she went to a strip club and realized they suck and guys only go cause muh dick, she went to monastary and a guy thought she was gay, she went to a men's help group and then developed depression from being someone else for too long. She then concludes men have their own set of problems and aren't better off than women.

Literally 18 mins...

She's not saying females have more "privilege" with that quote, just that personally she is very happy to be a woman, especially after pretending to be a man for a while. She identifies as a woman, so naturally it was awful to pretend and lie to others about her identity.

The best you can take from this is both genders have problems they face; the worst is women have it easier.

This is really interesting. It's mainly stuff guys will know already - male sexuality comes from the dick, girls hate being approached, men are angry (often towards women), "banter" and hostility in males is often endearment, and that men and women are different.

But basically the big point is that men have a different set of problems from women. As different genders we both have different problems, but we don't have it better. That is why this whole "white men have it so easy in life" thing that is being peddled around on the internet right now is bullshit.

why's that?

Because by far the biggest issue that happened the entire time came from her pretending to be someone she's not, not from the fact that she was being a man.

Also this:

Overall we do have it much easier though. If you can't see that you're terribly naive.

I think there is substantial evidence that you have more opportunity for success as a white male in western society. I think the barriers non-white males and females face have been documented extensively. This DOES NOT MEAN white male = instant success. This DOES MEAN white men don't have to deal with some bull shit others do.

I'd say 30 years ago, but these days, in North America, I'm not so sure. I'm in graduate studies in a STEM field and 50% of the students are female, which upon reflection is surprising but also awesome because female scientists are gf material.

No, it's surprising because tumblr tells me it's very difficult for women to get in to STEM fields, and they point out how there are far more women in stuff like literature...ironically the same people usually have no interest in STEM themselves.

Yep. I can appreciate that statisically have it a lot easier than a lot of people in society. That definitely doesn't mean that us white men all have it equally as easy, or that we are all oppressors of women and minorities, or even that minorities can't have it easier than me.

But basically, we should all work together to end these problems, together, Rather than scapegoating white males as the source of all evil. Because they are not, and they have problems too which can be quite deep, hard to talk about and deal with, and can cause problems to other (an example being the whole dating culture and women's "preferences" causing violence and mistreatment of women).

Odd, because more than 15 years ago, I'd have said around 50% of the undergrads in my 1st year bio(and chemistry) classes were female. This ratio actually shifted in favour of females as the classes specialised in 3rd and 4th year to about 60% females in microbiology.
As far as the postgrad world goes, masters are evenly spread between male and female; but doctorate holders area 3:1 majority for females(and all scientists).

Wait, so if two lesbians are together, does that mean there are actually two men together, who in turn would be gay because they want to be together?
So all lesbians are actually gay men?

Seems pretty even from when I went to uni too. There were definitely more guys at undergrad level but when we got to the masters and beyond stage of the degree it evened out to about 50/50. Biochem and biology classes were at least 2/3rds girls, physics was admittedly less, but two of my friends did physics and maths degrees respective and they were female. Dunno if they're only taking USA figures (because the world is so US centric right now) but at my uni it seemed very even to me.

Additional fun fact - the only people from my year group at school to study medicine/dentistry/vet medicine(4 in total) were all female.

Someone needs to alert the SJWs. Now that you mention it, there was a ton of girls in my undergrad chem classes too.

Everyone has problems.
Doesn't matter if you're white, black, brown, yellow, red, blue, purple, man, woman, police officer, military, politician, religious, non-religious, or whatever.

You're a good person if you help others with their problems, you're a bad person if you never help with other's problems, and you're a horrible person if you make other's problems larger.
