Anyone had a guitar or music related injury? Anyone stage dived and broke their coccyx? Or headbanged too hard and got an aneurism? Or tripped over leads while on stage and landed front on the vocalist?

Well I sustained my most recent injury last night - while I changing my electric guitar strings I managed to stab myself with the B string on my index finger It hurt

oh i stabbed myself in the index finger alright. only problem is i stabbed myself in a way that the g string went p deep under betweenmy fingernail and the finger itself. to anyone cringing at the very thought of this, it's just as bad as your body is telling you

String stabs, cuticle clipping, etc. And arthritis scares me.

The most serious thing I've experienced is wrist fatigue. Not just from playing my guitar too br00tally, but from stupidly carrying a 4x12 with one hand.

Funnily enough I was just thinking about how painful under the fingernail is...

Not really guitar related (though I was playing guitar as well), but I fainted on stage once. I would explain in more detail to make myself seem like less of an idiot, but it came down to me screaming 'I am god' for 40 seconds on a stage that must have been about 40 degrees (Celsius) because of the 25 bloody spotlights that were all around the tiny stage and then fainting. What was kinda cool was that I fainted right at the end of the song.

I stab myself with strings pretty much every time I change them

I used to get finger/wrist ache from too much playing and once I bashed myself in the face with the headstock because #YOLO
I have nothing important to say

My freshman year of high school, first day, I was in the marching band at a pep rally. And then I was on the floor, nose busted up and head throbbing. What a good impression I made for myself in front of the whole school!

That's a much more interesting story then wrist fatigue. I'll go with that as my contribution, although it is not guitar related.

My right hand is so decrepit from playing music that it can hurt to move into positions most people find easy on the piano.

EDIT: I met a dude that received what all string changers fear most...

...Snapped high e string to the eyeball. I didn't inquire further.

Snapped low E string on my bass hit me in the throat....hurt like hell...

Otherwise just the usual cuts from strings and such.
Come back if you want to
And remember who you are
‘Cause there's nothing here for you my dear
And everything must pass

Honestly, I don't remember any Abrahamic god doing anything this cool.
Rock on bear dude.

I don't know if you're serious or not but I air-guitared too hard one time and viciously punched myself in the balls.

I played too fast and set my fretboard on fire... jk I like playing too much to chance an injury.

I was tuning my guitar to something, can't remember the tuning, but the G string had to go up to A. The string snapped and went through the webbing between my index finger and thumb.

Not so bad, but it hurt a bit.

Had my guitar fall on my bare foot once. Foot got all blue and shit.
Yep but with socks.

I wear the strap over one shoulder too much, so it can fall off of that arm pretty easily.

I think the only time is when I was younger and I wouldn't clip my strings close enough to the peg.

Strap failed but I managed to catch it by the headstock. Ended up putting 4 or so holes in my hand.

From then on I've always made sure to cut them as flush as possible and bend any protruding strings down.

- Cut my fingers/hands numerous times
- Decided to swing my guitar once, butt end of the body hit me in the balls
- Friend of mine accidentally hit me in the head with the headstock of his bass

I hit myself with my guitar often
I stab myself on a regular basis
One time a string popped on my hand
My fretting wrist hurts if I play too many bar chords
When I first started standing while playing, my left shoulder hurt a lot.

Was in a circle pit at an Exploited show and my lip ring got hung up on the spike on a vest...completely ripped out.

split a finger nail when playing.

Strap ripped on a heavy ass acrylic guitar and it landed on my foot, hurt like hell.

Tweaked my back pretty bad once from either bad posture while playing/carrying speaker cabs.

A better story would be the time I got a blood blister on my index finger while playing "Killing in the Name" at a gig.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganglion_cyst

I got that like 5 years ago. It was so big i couldn't do some chords and started to give pain to my wrist.

Went to a doctor specialist of hands ($), told him i'm a guitarrist so my left hand is very very important for me.
He did some radiographs and ultrasound to check what was the situation ($$).

At the end the bastard suctionated the cyst with an incredible big syringe. But he couldn't get it all with that. So then he spent 45 minutes pressing the fking cyst with all his body weight. I really thought he would break my wrist; Couldn't play well for like a week, then i had to adjust my playing for like a month because all movements felt different without the cyst.

Since 2002 using UG. This page teached me how to play guitar and help'd me to embrace the passion of my life: Music.
