I think so. But then again, most people hate the sound of their own voice. But then again, maybe I'm right in disliking it.

Should I just stick to guitars&flutes?

You have a decent voice. Stop worrying.

I can't believe you are whoring yourself out like that.

If I had to give a critique, your voice there has a bit of an out-of-breath feel and seems to lack a little energy, but the latter I'm sure is just because of the tranquil nature of the song. But your voice is good for sure, I'd be happy with that

I'd have to hear you sing a song that isn't awful to be able to tell tbh. But it sounds pretty good.

Hallelujah is just so bad, I will never get the hype.
#11
you have a good voice

I'd say for the particular song tone down the vibrato a bit, but yeah it's good.

On the come up we were listening to Grateful Dead and the music started passing through my bowel and out my arsehole as this violet stream of light. I shat music. It was beautiful.

Sounds fine.
I'm sure if you really thought it was terrible you wouldn't be singing though.

this tho

You've got a really nice voice, better than mine. Actually it even kinda reminds me of Greg Lake for some reason

Not true at all. I just got tired of always playing the instruments and having to have someone else sing, so I practiced and practiced to get the pitches and vibrato and stuff, but I still don't like the tone.

Nothing wrong with your voice, but the vocals are too loud on both those recordings
I have nothing important to say
#22
I thought it sounded good. The harmonies were nice. I totally relate to hating the sound of your own voice, I can barely listen to any recordings of my singing because it sounds terrible to me, but people tell me otherwise.
#23
Ok, I listened

Honestly, it all got a bit.. boring (and fast). That type of music/song doesnt really suit you imo. I mean, dont get me wrong.. it wasnt anything unpleasant, but it wasnt anything particularly good either. I got about 1/3 through and had to turn it off, as it wasnt going anywhere.

Howwwwever, I then listened to the AFI cover. Now that was great Suited your voice/style way more, the choruses were especially strong. I could have been listening to a legit (you know what I mean ) vocalist on this song.
In the bridge/break/whatever (around 1:45) you seemed to over sing it a bit, like you're concentrating too much on getting it right, but the rest was ossem
This is what you should be doing, not the (type of) first song.

****ing hell I feel like Simon Cowell

tl;dr
I kinda stand by the "stop singing" vote, but only for the 'Hallelujah' type songs, AFI cover was gr8 m8
#25
I forgot about your 17 Crimes cover even though I definitely listened to it when you first put it up. I definitely agree with GG though. You definitely have a voice for emo

Hallelujah - don't sing this style of music
AFI cover - You sound like someone who's been doing it for years

EDIT:

As with the general consensus that AFI cover is really good and that style of music really suits your voice. I think anything emo/pop-punk/melodic hardcore would really fit you well.

good stuff

not just because i'm a huge AFI fan. your voice fits this one much, much better. your voice also feels less heavy-ish, which was really my only problem w/ your tone.

but tbh, if you can sing in tune (sometimes that doesn't even matter hah), idc really what you sound like as long as it fits the vibe you want to project.

as far as AFI's new sound is concerned you should listen to decemberunderground

their old stuff is waaaaaaay different. just as good though imo, more along the lines of 'real' pop-punk or whatever.

If you go far enough back AFI was a hardcore band, which is really weird to think about

I actually quite like your voice. Sounds like with some training you could become a great singer.
#39
you have a very good voice for a choir

ditch the choir, use twang

you don't have to go full willy nelson but it's going to help you get a sharper sound and sing more effortlessly especially when you go for higher notes
