Stick with it kids. You can make a shitload of money doing this.

A few months back, we posted about the richest drummers in rock and were surprised to learn that Dave Grohl outgrossed Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich.

Well, that same site, Celebrity Net Worth composed a list of the richest frontmen in music, and guess what? Dave Grohl out-earned Metallica frontman James Hetfield and Guns N Roses has-been Axl Rose.

Dave Grohl is worth $225 million meanwhile James Hetfield rakes in $175 Million and Axl Rose is worth $150 Million. None of those hold a candle to Gene Simmons, who pulls in a cool $300 million.

What's interesting is this list claims that Bruce Dickinson is worth $115 million, meanwhile Ozzy Osbourne is "only" worth $90 million. Are you telling me with all of Ozzy's endorsement deals and TV deals he is worth less than Bruce? I'm finding that a bit hard to believe.

The way the list was compiled was like so:

The figures contained in this list were acquired from all publicly available information including salaries, real estate holdings, divorces, record sales, royalties and endorsements. The final net worths come from a formula that takes out taxes, manager’s fees, agents’ fees, and lifestyle.

Again, Ozzy owns a lot of real estate. Maybe this means that most of it is in Sharon's name? Who knows!

Other notable names on the list include Soundgarden's Chris Cornell at $60 million, Vince Neil at $50 million, Korn's Jonathan Davis at $45 million, Marilyn Manson with $25 million, Rob Halford with $25 million, poor Dave Mustaine with only $20 million, Slayer's Tom Araya with $14 million, and Phil Anselmo with $8 million.

Wow, Dave Mustaine has $20 million dollars to his name and he's still bitching? No wonder he is against higher taxes. In case you are wondering, here is the full list:

It's hilarious how much RATM and Paul Ryan have in common.
SGT. HARTMAN: Where in hell are you from anyway, Private?
COWBOY: Sir, Texas, sir!
SGT. HARTMAN: Holy dogshit! Texas! Only steers and queers come from Texas, Private Cowboy! And you don't look much like a steer to me, so that kinda narrows it down!! Do you suck dicks!?
COWBOY: Sir, no, sir!
SGT. HARTMAN: Are you a peter-puffer!?
COWBOY: Sir, no, sir!
SGT. HARTMAN: I'll bet you're the kind of guy that would fuck a person in the ass and not even have the goddamn common courtesy to give him a reach-around! I'll be watching you!!

Probably only a small amount of that money actually comes from gigging.

Just as an example, Bruce Dickinson owns an aircraft maintenance/pilot training company in Cardiff. Has something like 70 full time employees.

Net worth isn't really much to consider. Andy Dick is one of the richest comedians in the world.

Could it just be that some of these guys are better at managing and investing their money than others?
I pride myself on my humility.

This is very likely. Plus, when a lot of musicians have their most financially productive period, they're often young, naive, and being taken advantage of by their label, management and anyone else who can make money off the back of them.
