beginner bass amp, will go used, dont really care about price. maybe something 40-100 watts. i plan on giggging eventually. any ideas? i hear ampeg is very good. ampeg ba110 and ba115 interest me. the 110 goes for $100 and the 115 goes for $199 used. how are the fender rumble amps? i see a 100 watt for $149 used.

I have a BA115, it's a great combo and cuts through the mix well enough for rehearsals. As for live shows it depends on the venue!
I want '61 Jazz Bass!

You could go with the Ampeg BA115 and use the "Line Out" feature to run directly into the P.A. mixing board if the venue is too large for the amp alone. Or you could throw a microphone in front of it and mic it through the P.A.

I have the BA115HP and I can confirm this! You'll get a great sound for the money!
