Hey everybody!
I recently found out that one of my power tubes in my 2033KK top is kinda blue'ish, and since the amp is a couple of years old i figured I'll replace all the tubes.
I am looking to maybe (not sure yet, because I love that thing) sell the amp, so I am looking for the Best sounding decent priced tubes there is. I found Electro-Harmonix
KT88-EH Matched Quad for about 130$ + shipping on Amazon. Is that a go or dies someone have any expert advice for me?

- thanks a bunch

The blue color is 100% normal, we have already told you this in your other thread

Splawn uses Sino Tubes stock in their amps and they are HR Marshall circuits so that may be an option that is cheap.

I know that sir. But this is not my question this time around. I have decided to replace Them after all, since they're old.
What kind should I use, as Seen above?

Isn't Marshall's usually like.. EL34's or something? I know squat about this, i'm just being curious. Don't act on a whim, on my hunch <.<

As mentioned, the blue hue is normal.

There is no reason to replace your power tubes unless you are experiencing volume drops.

It IS always a good idea to have spare tubes.

I wouldn't spend $130 if it is not needed just to turn around and sell it.

I generally consider Elecro Hamonix tubes to be pretty shitty.

I wouldn't buy tubes from amazon.com

I would buy tubes from www.dougstubes.com, www.thevalvequeen.com, www.tubedepot.com, www.eurotubes.com, www.watfordvalves.com (if in Europe)

Yes, Northernmight - A LOT of Marshall amps use EL34s but as Robb mentioned, Marshall has used all sorts of power tubes over the years.

JJ's. all jj's. maybe a nice sed =c=.

don't get short with Rob.

as long as power tubes don't fade out, or have issues NO point in replacing them.

preamp tubes yes if you want, new ones may help you a bit or change the nature.

They made a 6V6 amp too. I think greg had one. The little 15W studios from the 80's.

And back to the topic. If you can't find SED =C= for a sane price, go JJ.
