First time as a TS.
Just quit smoking and I'm up to day 3, have been smoking for the last 9 years at a rate of about 6-10 a day.
I have hot flushes, constipated, anxiety, slight headache and worst of all I'm dopey as hell. I can't concentrate for more than 20 seconds, can't remember what I started talking about before I finish a sentence, can't remember street names I'm basically a senile angry old man right now (I'm 28).
Any one else gone through any kind of withdrawal from anything?

You should consider getting some nicotine patches to atleast ease yourself out of the habit.
Still, all the more power to you if you manage to go cold turkey.

True, my sister's bf is giving up atm, and he's using patches. He's been considering going full Krusty, but I think he feels he's starting to cope a bit better now(3 weeks in).

just keep whittling down your usage and you will hit a point where cigarettes just give you a headache and make you puke.

Ive quit smoking for over a year three times, i guess i have a harder time staying quit than going through withdrawls but they do suck. Days 2 & 3 are the worst. After a week its not as bad as day 1 and after two weeks its virtually gone. I recommend working out, eating candy and having sex. Avoid situations that will get you stressed and try to avoid scenarios where youve made it a habit to smoke during eg. With a beer or coffee,during a break at work.

Quitting is actually a good time to get a lot of shit off your chest. You can bitch people out for their bs and theyll understand youre just under stress. If youre like i was and go for a smoke when youre stressed and repress a lot of shit then when you quit you end up facing these things instead of avoiding them for the first time in awhile. I ended up solving a lot of problems instead of running from them.

It did for me, but if you follow the intended directions I hear it helps for like 2 pack/day guys.

It was also the act of smoking, too. My body didnt care that I had nicotine in it

Never had any withdraws when I quit smoking. Unless not going to the bathroom at the same time in the morning for a few days and not knowing what to do with your hands while walking around count.

Good luck man I'm going cold turkey soon before I get to smoking that many regularly -- right now I smoke like 2-3 a day. I stopped for a month or so after changing to e-cigarettes for about a month, but then fell off the bandwagon... It just takes one time of saying why not to fall back into it. I had digestive issues when I stopped completely and headaches.

I rarely post here anymore but as someone who has stopped (and started) smoking more than once, I recommend starting a habit that requires the similar motion of putting a cigarette to your mouth.

Half of the habit in my experience was muscle memory so having a packet of lollies at hand or better yet a healthier option like fruit and nut mix is a good way to trick your brain.
