Anyone know anything about this UK " designed " 'merican " assembled " 8x10?.....does that mean some kind of clone with chinese parts etc?....

It means it was designed in the UK (Trace were a UK based company), and the finished product has been put together in the States. Where the raw materials came from could be anywhere.

Trace was a British company. In 2005, the brand was acquired by Peavey. Peavey employed Trace designer Paul Stevens, as well as a previous Trace director. Production moved to the U.S., but the design of the products was headed up by the UK based Stevens.

well,i've always respected hartley,and i have a couple of peavey ss practice amps that have served long and trouble free,but no experience at all with their pro gear....what would you say about the build quality/sound quality/resale value etc. of trace usa gear?
