So yeah, there was this absolutely ridiculous news about Taylor Swift trademarking the sentence "This Sick Beat" (), and a friend of mine posted this on his facebook page.

"In January 2015, it was announced that Taylor Swift had trademarked the phrase "This Sick Beat"™.
Trademarks are a direct attack on one of the most fundamental and inalienable rights of all: our freedom of speech.
If you give the bourgeoisie an inch, they will take a mile... and everything else you have in the process. They have already privatized land, water, and words. After language, they will next try to privatize air.
But, although the rich can try, they will never truly own the words we use and the language we speak."

And he wrote/recorded a song with only This Sick Beat as lyrics and title, and I want everybody who's able to write/record a song to do the same, just to prove the absurdity of it all.

Here's his song:

I'm ashamed to put mine after his great work, but here it is anyway:

Put yours here too!
Sorry, but I have no problem with taylor going and making a trade mark. There are worse things you could worry about
Im normally harsh in my reviews, but this track is literally perfect in every way

The lyrics are expressive, the title is a small glimpse into my own soul

The music, my God; I met a woman, got married, had 5 kids and died with this song as the soundtrack

The structure is immaculate and outstanding

I salute you

I would ask you to C4C but Im quitting music because I cant measure up to this masterpiece
Sorry Alice, this is not a protest song against your sister, but rather a parody/satirical song about the very nature of the trademark use. It's like a humorist making fun of people, it's nothing against them, they were just there at the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing.
