Hi i have a 1997 Japanese Ibanez rg series but i'm not sure what model it is, on the Headstock it just says Rg series. And the floyd rose on it is an unusual one, the ball ends of the strings simply hook on! i removed the neck from the body and underneath it says 380. Does this mean its an Rg 380? and if so why can i not find this model on the net? The serial number is f9730314. any clues?

It could be. The wiki page says the model was only sold in Japan 1997-1998.

Why you can't find the model on the net - I don't know. I'm sure it's a rare model (because it was only sold in Japan) but I googled it and found a lot of information of it.

^ if you sign up to e.g. photobucket (free) you can host your photos there and then link to them and have them show up here.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

that is weird. I had a look on the old ibanez catalogues on the ibanez site (1997 as you said) and I couldn't find it either.

no guarantee this'll work, but have you asked on jemsite? it's more aimed at the jem/vai model, but they know a fair bit about non-vai ibanezes too. maybe they could help.
