I need a little amp for playing in bars, it has to take pedals really well.

Right now some guys have offered me a VHT Special 12/20, an Evil Robot C30 and I can afford a Vox AC15C1. All of this have a Tremolo which is practically the only modulation I don't have and that I need. I live in Mexico so my options are limited. There is also a guy offering me an Orange Tiny Terror combo but it doesn't have a FX Loop...

Opinions? Thank you.

The Evil Robot looks pretty good, but I have never actually tried one

The VHT and Vox would be more versatile amps

If I could afford an Evil Robot I’d hit that shit in a heartbeat. It’s a boutique brand started by a virtuoso tube amp geek. How can you go wrong with that?

I don't think the Evil Robot is readily available for most to try out, though we all seem to have a fair understanding that it is kickass. Like Robbgnarly said though, it may not be versatile enough, though I wouldn't count it out.

There was a sick bar band in town last weekend and I couldn't get over the guys playing and tone, and was surprised to see he was using a Bugera V22 combo. I'm sure a lot of it was pedal magic, but I thought I'd give it a mention. Was thoroughly impressed by it.

I wish I could try them but I have to buy online, Right now I am living in Playa del Carmen and there is no gear around here.

Those are pretty cool amps and they have a nice dirty channel.

Does it have the graphic EQ?

No graphic EQ, just a two channel amp with independent controls for each one.

Still a cool little amp, but the graphic EQ is the better. But for what you want it will work just fine and sound good doing it. What is the price they want for it?

$500 USD Equivalent, Reverb sometimes doesn't work on dirt channel and tubes life is unknown.

Not a bad price considering your not in the US. They run $450-$500 here typically

So, do you think it is a better option over the other three? The other ones are in mint condition. I like Mesas build quality, I own one. But I'm scared of having to retube it right away.
