So im going to build a small DIY tube amp and i wanted to add an effects loop.
i found a site showing how to do it but in the comments someone posted a better idea...
i recommend you use a "switching jack" for the fx send, the kind where there is a third solder lug connected to a little metal piece that's in contact with the tip connection of the jack. wire it up like you did, pretty much, but connect the switch part of the first jack to the tip of the return jack...that way, when you plug in your loop, it sends the pedal or whatever the signal...but if you're NOT using the loop, the amp will still work normally without having to patch a cable between the two jacks.

and included this doodle inside.

my question is, what are the two black lines that are coming out parallel to the ground line? the ones that look like they are curling at the ends.

i get everything else, but i cant figure that part out.

any help would be great.
or even if you had your own idea with a better drawing.
