Hey guys, I've been in a Slipknot kinda mood lately so I've done like 3 Slipknot songs in 24 hours. This is the heaviest one I've done and it was quite fun to do. With my new tube condenser and tube preamp I can get that distorted Corey Taylor tone pretty easily

Will C4C, please leave some feedback and a link.

That was pretty darn awesome! You definitely channeled your inner Corey on that one! You have a well rounded repertoire on your page. From Ozzy to Chili Peppers!! You would do well with Papa Roach and Three Days Grace.

You should add vocals to this for me:

Well my name is Corey so Id hope I can channel some kind of Corey. :P

I'll check for your C4C when I get home from work.

Good job. You've got a good scream, but in my opinion to make it really pop you've gotta make it less air-y (if that makes sense) and try to add some more bass to it. When you do this your scream will really pop and sound more intense/aggressive. Other than that I don't really have anything negative. Your cleans were good and on key, you were on time, etc. Keep it up!

Well I'd normally use an SM7 for my growls and screams, but for this song I decided to use a tube condenser mic which is why it's so air-y. The bass is already kind of up on the growls, but I can try to add a little more around 200hz to give it a little more fullness but you gotta be careful because with aggressive stuff like this boosting the bass can also make plosives noticeable.

I listened to it with some of the air cut off by EQing at 15khz and it does sound a bit better with less air. Ill have to re-render it later. Thanks for your input, I'll check your C4C when I get home later tonight.
