I have a older Rev G DR 2 Channel that I picked up a couple years back. I have read alot about the DR rev C-F pre 500's being the most desirable. Every so often I see a Rev F on Ebay but of course they are well over 1K. I like my Dual Rec but it does collect dust alot compared to my Peavey's. Is there a big enough difference between the tones achieved through a REV F versus a G to warrant the price diff? Is the F more compressed? Just trying to truly understand the differences from anyone who has had a F and a G.

IMO, not really. I've owned both and they both sound great.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me
