Hi, so I'v been playing guitar for 4 years and every single time when i do prolong bar chords I always manage to cut my 3rd finger. A lot of the time I just continue playing and I try to just rough it out but its just an unbearable stinging pain as if the string is in the cut and im sliding from one bar to another.
I would imagine that I would have grown a calice by now on that area of the finger but it still manages to cut it open.

How in the world can I prevent my finger from getting cut every time I go to play a chord.

Not sure if this will help. Maybe try a thicker strings, if you're using 9's try 10s and see if that helps you.

You could use non toxic super glue. Change string gauge. There's like finger tip guards you could use
"Hey "man" chill"
