I just finished a guitar i was building and there is some buzz at the end of the neck (by the tuners). When i capo the 12th fret there is no buzz at all... just toward the end by the tuners. Is this a truss rod adjustment issue? and if so should i be tightening or loosening it? I am guessing tighten but i wanted to check with you guys before i start.

Check nut slot height first, then neck relief. If it's nut slot height too low, you might be able to shim it, I would go ahead and replace the nut. If it's neck relief, that's a truss rod adjustment.

All that is assuming the action is where you want it...

Lots of good setup info here

Hmmm...I wonder what this button does...

try the trussrod first
the nut CAN be an issue
uneven frets cause strings to buzz

I've barely slept the last 24 hours but I'd first try a quarter turn or so loosening the trussrod. When loosening the trussrod the difference is almost instantaneous. To loosen assuming the guitar is in playing position twist towards the floor.

that took care of it, i did a very slight loosening and the buzz stopped. i will post some pics of the guitar soon, pretty proud of it.
