Salutations

We now have 69 members in our group.

The objective of this thread is to vote on the song you like the most, but remember: don't base your vote on the quality of the recording, base it on the content.

Here they are:

1 - "something something wistful" (steve_muse)

2 - "beautifully, extravagantly, decidedly poignant (first movement)" (deadsmileyface)

3 - "3/7" (chev311e)

4 - "Alibi" (mind_meld, ultimate-slash)

5 - "Lack Of Control" (sickman411, semiquaver)

6 - "You Have to Learn to Read Their Faces" (FoOltz, whywefight)

7 - "A Big Surprise" (nico_9550)

8 - "Smile" (SirZep)

9 - "Your Name" (ultimate-slash)

Honorable mention:
"Songwriting Game Covered Badly" (whywefight, FoOltz)

------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are last week's most voted songs, from SirZep, the song "Empty House", and from with ultimate-slash, the song "At Least It's Free", both with 3 votes!
------------------------------------------------------------------

If you too want to become a better songwriter/gigolo consider joining our group (http://groups.ultimate-guitar.com/mozartfactory/), all the info you need to join this weekly "contest" is there.

The votes will be counted this Thursday. The winner of this week's voting will be a mod in our group.

Damn, now I kinda wish my name was mind_slash...

My not so very in-depth feedback:
1. Delay
2. I've got three words for this:
- beautiful
- extravagant
- poignant
The latter decidedly so even!
This was very nice though.
3. Love that almost slightly out of tune melody thingy in the beginning, the middle and the end. Overall it's a really nice, almost sweet song, but that just gives it something extra.
4. Oh my, really love the vocals and guitar solo on this
Seriously though, I really love the track itself. Dat groove...
5. This is great. Love just the general vibe and the vocals and pretty much everything else too.
6. Three thirds of exactly nice.
7. Nicocastro95? More like nice-ocastro95!
8. Your songs never disappoint me. Such catchy, much melody.
9. Your name? More like your mum! hahaha

****, I really want to vote for 8, but I also really want to vote vor 5...

Just saying I spent an obscene amount of time this week

And I'll probably spend another four or five hours before submitting it to the post rock album

Another good week!! This time I won't look at the poll results before I vote so I'm not biased

1 - Cool stuff, this has potential probably as an intro or over something else too.

2 - I struggled a bit with this, not really to my taste. Nonetheless although I found it a bit repetitive, the gradual addition of layers seemed to give rise to a more complex soundscape.

3 - intro. Not bad for a drunk guy

4 - I do love the bass riff if I may say so myself. And you can solo better than me, slash. Technically though this really needed more than a week to produce it properly imo.

5 - Just straight out niiice, not a lot I can add to that

6 - Really loved the drums on this one.

7 - This sounds like movie music!! The mounting tension really had me.

8 - Haha well I did enjoy this one in particular, but I would be biased towards this one as I had already heard the melody/chord prog concept beforehand and the lyrics engaged me because, well, I like space and that kind of stuff.

9 - So, on my soundcloud, my name is strine for "none of your business" No seriously though, I like the smoky jazz club vibe.

Oh, so you're voting for Nico instead of me?
Well, if that's how you want to be, I'll just never write you a song again

Consider this unrequited love a source for inspiration

Besides I can usually be bribed with large amounts of cash.

Edit: I am slightly regretting my sig...

#33
They're working fine for me

So anyway, I've heard them all once but I'm going to listen again tomorrow before I vote. Probably for either dead, wwf/FoOltz or SirZep. But I'll decide later.
