I assume you're using a translator and trying to ask if we measure the sound levels during band practice.

On the come up we were listening to Grateful Dead and the music started passing through my bowel and out my arsehole as this violet stream of light. I shat music. It was beautiful.

Get a simple dB meter App for your phone. Will give you a ballpark.

Anything over 100 dB is dangerous, avoid if at all possible. 90-100 dB is dangerous over time, keep it to a minimum.

I usually try to work in the 85 dB range, which will hurt your hearing over time, but significantly less so than the levels most people work at, musically. From time to time I push it to the 100-105 dB range, like for final mix of a track I've been working on, but that's LIMITED!!

Just measure it, man. Search for a good free app and use it.

It's too loud.

It always is.

You can't tell them though, so wear ear plugs.

I used to mix metal bands with ears full of cotton wool.

Many of the band members are now very deaf and have to wear hearing aids for normal conversation.

But they still practice very loud.

I have a policy: unless it's worth it, like the first time I saw Black Sabbath, I wear ear plugs.

If I lost hearing because of Black Sabbath that's a good reason to lose it!

Is your band worth it?

No band or gig is worth losing your hearing.

Clue: amplifiers amplify so don't turn it on if you need quiet.
