Ive been pretty happy with my RG 7321 with a crunchlab set in it for a while, but after playing some longer scale length 6 string i feel i should move up for better tension in Drop A#/G#. Looking to pick up used (or new if i find the right price).

My real question is what Guitars come with at least a 26.5 scale length (or larger if necessary) and that will sound good if i drop my Crunchlab/Liquifire set in?

(As far as Budget, im willing to go up to $500)

Thanks in advanced!

*EDIT* I am also particularly fond of ibanez necks!

The only real answer to the SG vs Les Paul debate is to get a Flying V and laugh at all the suckers who don't have one.

if you embrace inaccurate intonation it can be quite arousing.

Agile. Agile will be your friend here. More of an ESP neck feel, but I didn't mind it too much and I have a 7321 as well. You could even buy new in your budget.

What the difference between these two models? Is it just build quality?

From what I can see the 7321 has traditional RG controls, 5 way and vol and tone, and the 7421 has one vol and a 3 way toggle. Inlays are different. The 7321 has a bound Wizard II neck which is a bit flatter, and the 7421 has a Wizard III which is more of a soft D or C shape. But the biggest difference is the 7421's bridge pickup is closer to the bridge, which will help with the muddiness the 7 string RGs usually have and tighten up the sound.

The RGD7421 is a bit newer too and you can still buy it new, the 7321 is discontinued. I think overall they are around the same quality. The 7421 actually replaced the 7321.
