Hi everyone

I've taken my Ibanez S series apart to give it a good clean, that has involved cleaning all of the chrome saddles and intonation threads etc on the bridge. Now when I adjusted my bridge height I slacken the tension off the strings a little bit and then move the each side of the bridge 1/4 turns at a time.

Problem is, is there is a clunking sound when I'm turning the allen key ,and I believe this has something to do with the kinked washers that go on the bridge threads. My question is, should the washers be totally flat or should the be in a wavy kinked pattern going around?

I will be uploading some pictures of the guitar parts so that you know what I'm on about.

Much help appreciated
