i've been pressing repeat for ages trying to do my homework (since about 11am) but i can't stop feeling

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFLryEQooog

butter on a summer day
when she's around
i was on the tracks
when the gate came down
suddenly i recognized
those bloodshot rear view mirror eyes as mine

i heard that whistle call my name
i almost drove away
but megan I had a feeling that you would be on that train
so I just waited there for you

caught a ride to another town
where the air was clean
and the sun never goes down
everyone was standing in a line
between the landing and the stairs

i heard somebody call my name
i almost climbed the stairs
but megan i had a feeling that someday you'd meet me there
so i just waited there for you

butter on a summer day
when i hear that name
it's a dream that never came true
sat down on the tracks
and waited for a train to take me back to you

somebody came and took my hand
i finally had to go
but megan i just want you to know
that i waited as long as i could

butter on a summer day when she's around

------

am i a fucking sap or what? i could replace 'megan' (of which i know none) with a certain feminine name and that would be it, it would be the finisher. they'd be yelling 'he can't skake the cobwebs out!!!' and gold dust would throw me over the ropes, ye? i can't stop listening and meanwhile my progress on this homework has been grinding to a halt (hahah get it trains).

i'm almost thinking i'll learn to sing and do up this song real nice. i'm no hydra150, i wouldn't send that shit to no lady, but to come to peace with 'smoking popes' and their 'megan'.

hmu w/ your supreme musical feels. don't post a nightwish song like "yeah this one really gets me" fuck off make it intense.
i don't know why i feel so dry

Oh, man, I need a big bowl of pasta for this thread. I'm not going to put the songs into context or whether or not they relate to my life or not because **** sharing personal details of my life with strangers.

John Mayer - Wheel

"And airports see it all the time
Where someone's last goodbye blends in with someone's sigh
'Cause someone's coming home, in hand a single rose"

The ups and downs of love, man.

Ariana Grande - Almost Is Never Enough

She's great, okay?

Brand New - Untitled 1

"Something dies when you grow older, but you do the best you can.
I am glad, I am glad you found a good man."

Silverstein - The End

This entire album (except for one song, IIRC) is about a man who's in the military and comes home and learns that his wife is having an affair with his best friend. So he burns down the house. It's a bit violent, but the way I see it, the war has ruined his mind. Dat feel when "We'll both die tonight."

States - Waiting (For Too Long)

For fans of Lydia or Copeland, that is Mindy White (formerly of Lydia) and two members of Copeland.

Sam Smith - I'm Not The Only One

This song is ubiquitous so I'll skip linking.

Bruno Mars - When I Was Your Man

Now my baby's dancing
But she's dancing with another man

You've also probably heard this song.

Keith Urban - Til Summer Comes Around

It's more pop than country so I can still say I don't like any country.

Chris Brown - Say Goodbye

Those first two albums were very good. That piano riff is pretty good.

song is pretty groovy, TS. lyrics are okay, i'm not much for the open lovey kind of stuff. more about the confusingly poetic stuff. OP is kinda in between those.

what has been wrecking me lately are the songs "Passionflower" by Jon Gomm, and "Out of Hiding" by Steffany Gretzinger.

On the come up we were listening to Grateful Dead and the music started passing through my bowel and out my arsehole as this violet stream of light. I shat music. It was beautiful.
