I'm making a pedalboard, and here the hook up so far:

amp->volume->delay->chorus->EQ->wah->guitar

The wah pedal is working separately, without the other effects. So it's not the power supply it's hooked up to. When I hook it up to the pedalboard, my guitar doesn't go through, and there's no volume at all coming from the amp.

Dumb question, does your setup work with the wah out of the rig?

Yes, it functions by itself, but not when I have the other effects set up with it.

try a battery. see what it does. that is the best way to eliminate the power supply as a problem. you could also try a different power supply.

I think he meant your rig minus the wah. So amp->volume->delay->chorus->EQ->guitar

It could also be faulty patch cables, faulty guitar cable, etc. Or maybe your power supply is starving for power when all the pedals are hooked up.

Then yes, my rig works without the wah

what specifically are the pedals?

could there be any shot in hell that the wah is reverse polarity>?

K. If it was reverse polarity (positive) then it probably wouldn't work outside the rest of the chain, since TS is using the same power source.

I'm feeling that you're not able to draw enough power. What are you using to power you pedalboard? Also, what wah pedal?

it would be odd if it was, you are probably right with the polarity, but i had my proctavia doing some strange stuff with a daisy chain.

it could be a lack of power, but i would be surprised if the wah was the straw that broke the camel's back.

most [wahs] draw under 10mA iirc. i would be surprised if that was the difference, but it could be.

i still say to try it with a battery. and OP we need to know the specific pedals and power supply you are using.

I haven't tried using a battery yet. I tried hooking it up to my multi-effects pedal (which uses a completely different power source) and I got the same results, so I don't think it's a power issue. The cables are brand-spanking new, and I've checked multiple times to make sure there's no cuts in them, and that they're plugged in all the way. If this battery doesn't work, I think I might return it. I did buy it used for like $50, so I wouldn't be surprised if it came messed up.

By the way, it's a CryBaby Original

Well, it's not going to get power from a multi fx unit just plugging it in with a 1/4" cable... Yeah, try a battery.

try a battery, or you are just wasting your time and frustration. it would take a minute.

i would maybe just return it if the battery doesn't fix it.

I'm saying that's the only other effect I'll have hooked up to it, while I'm using the same power supply as all my other pedals. It works with that power supply (with all the other pedals on and hooked up) as long as I don't have it connected to the whole rig; it works separately.
